Instrumental in setting up Bombardier Aerospace in Dubai, Mike Cappuccitti’s aviation career includes 10 years working with the world’s third largest aircraft manufacturer.

Educated at St. Joseph’s College in England, Mike was awarded an RAF (Royal Air Force) Scholarship in 1969. He trained at RAF Cranwell (the air force equivalent of Sandhurst) before he emigrated to Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and joined the Rhodesian Air Force. Initially flying combat missions in Vampire aircraft, he was posted to the VIP Squadron where he flew a variety of aircraft including the DC3 (Dakota) in multi-role missions.

After two and a half years with BP/Shell in Zimbabwe as a management trainer, Mike returned to England in 1987 to pursue a career in aircraft sales – first with British Aerospace and then Alan Mann Aviation. He joined Bombardier Aerospace in 1991. During this 10 year period, Mike was responsible for sales in Africa, Middle East and India, originally as a Sales Executive based in the UK. In 1996 he was appointed Regional Vice President for Business Aircraft Sales (BBA), based in Dubai, where he successfully assisted BBA in penetrating new markets and changing the annual market share in their favour.

In late 2001, Mike swapped private jets for luxury yachts, setting up his own yacht sales and charter company based in Dubai whilst also conducting aircraft brokerage for personal customers. The company, Yacht Solutions, was credited with setting high, professional standards in the charter market. He sold Yacht Solutions in early 2007 to pursue Super Yacht Brokerage and Executive aircraft sales. Since that time, Mike has been engaged in moulding the Project Phoenix business plan.

Mike is also Managing Director of aircraft leasing company, Phoenix International Leasing Ltd and Dubai-based Ocean Air Marine and Aviation Sales.
